School History
We are L.W. Burnett Elementary School and we are nestled in Douglasville, which lies about 20 miles west of Atlanta, Georgia. Douglas County has a population of approximately 120,000 people. Our school was constructed in the 1950's, as a junior high school and later converted to an elementary school.
Over the years, our school has transitioned into a life-long learning center. We believe every child has a "civil right" to a high quality educational experience. We continue to be committed to the process by providing those learning experiences and doing so in a spirit of excellence.
