Overview of the program
Burnett Elementary School is home to our Tiger Cub Smart Club program which is a part of the 21st century community. The 21st century program is a free, invite only, federally funded program which concentrates on early intervention and academic enrichment opportunities to help our students succeed.
Our program is strategically designed to increase students academic achievement, improve students self esteem, and provide exposure to various enrichment opportunities such as photography, cooking, gardening and more. We are currently funded to serve 60 students from grades k-5th. Qualifications/ invitation to this program is dependent upon teacher referral, student assessment data, and grades which are examined by the programs site coordinator. Our program operates a total of 12 hours a week which breaks down to 2.5 hours a day Monday through Friday. If school is not in session the program is also not in session. We have two modes of transportation which is either car rider pick up and bus assignment for the students who are zoned for Burnett Elementary.

· Nutritional Snack
· Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Writing, and Remediation
· Reading and Math Fluency Drills
· Structured Physical Education
· Character Education
· Hands on Math, Reading, Science/Social Studies Enrichment Centers
· Transportation is provided within district
· Global and Project Based Learning
