Students at Mason Creek Elementary School recently experienced an unforgettable day of hands-on learning in celebration of National Gardening Week. The annual event aims to connect children with nature, teaching them about the environment and fostering a love for gardening and the natural world.

To close out the week, Melanie Wiggleton’s class released butterflies they had observed throughout their chrysalis stage in STEM– a magical STEM moment that brought science to life.

The excitement didn’t stop there! Zoo Atlanta made a special visit to several classrooms, giving students an opportunity to engage with live animals and expand their learning beyond the classroom.

“From science to safari, it was an unforgettable day of learning and excitement!,” emphasized Media specialist Katie Henry.
