Alexander softball coach Phillip Nasworthy is excited about competing for a region championship 
and hosting some state playoff games in 2025.
Nasworthy, in his second year at AHS, highlighted three returning senior starters at the recent DCSS Fall Athletic Media Day at Legacy Arena:
• Madison Smith, shortstop
• Erin Vineyard, pitcher and first baseman
• Ava Woodham, catcher, first baseman
“We've got a great group of seniors,” Nasworthy said. “We have five, and they all contribute daily. They will be in the lineup all the time, hitting the middle of the top of the order. And our freshman group this year was an incredible group. We had a lot of interest from eighth graders, and so I'm excited about the present and the future.”
