Douglas County’s football team enters the 2025 season ranked fifth in the state and 28th in the nation.
The Tigers have been to the state semifinals the past two seasons and are stacked again this year with the talent to make another run at a state championship.
Head Coach Johnny White is starting his 10th season at DCHS.
“Our goal this year is just to enjoy the ride,” White said at the recent DCSS Fall Athletic Media Day at Legacy Arena. “We want to take it week by week. We understand what a lot of people expect. There are high expectations on this team, but we're just going to enjoy ourselves. We're going to work every day, we're going to stay prayed up, and we're just going to keep working. Of course, we want to end it in December, but we're just going to enjoy the entire process.“
White highlighted several players who will be key for the Tigers, including:
• QB Michael Johnson (Utah commit)
• WR Devin Carter (Florida State commit/4-year starter)
• WR Aaron Gregory (Texas A&M commit/3-year starter)
• WR Marcus Carter
• RB Zamarcus Lindley (3-year starter)
• OL Eddie Alford (Memphis commit)
• OL Joshua Vaughan
• LB/RB Steven Jones
