Students and teachers at several Douglas County schools received helpful supplies thanks to theCHES Principal Bianca Turner with a backpack. generosity of some community partners.

Third-graders in Mahogany Berry's class at Mirror Lake Elementary got special hygiene bags filled with toothpaste, deodorant, soap, headphones, lotion and tissue. The bags were donated by Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Griffin where Berry goes to church.

"The students were super excited and couldn't wait to take the bags home," Berry said.

Students at Arbor Station and Chapel Hill elementary schools received backpacks full of supplies from the Chapel Hills neighborhood homeowners' association.

Beth Moebs, a Chapel Hills resident who works as the transportation/health monitor at North Douglas Elementary, said over 100 backpacks were donated to the schools as part of the neighborhood's outreach. The backpacks contained paper, a binder, colored pencils and other items.

At Chapel Hill Middle School, MSC Industrial Supply donated book bags and classroom supplies to support teachers and students. CHMS was overwhelmed by the company's charitable spirit.
