A MAES student and his father on National Parent Involvement Day

Mason Creek Elementary School had a huge turnout for National Parent Involvement Day on Nov. A student and her father at MAES on National Parent Involvement Day20, media specialist Katie Henry said.

The day kicked off with News Crew parents helping lead morning announcements. Then, kindergarten, fourth- and fifth-grade students welcomed their families into their classrooms.

"We also had an amazing turnout for our Thanksgiving Feast!" Henry said. "So many families joined us that we were able to fill both the cafeteria and the media center with joyful conversations and full plates."

Program for Exceptional Children (PEC) families also joined the celebration at The Creek throughout the day, adding even more smiles and support, she added.

To round out the day, first-, second- and third-grade families spent time in classrooms for their Parent Involvement activities.

"It was truly a full day of connection, celebration and community," Henry said.
