The Douglas County School System is bringing holiday cheer to Legacy Arena this
month with back-to-back events that will showcase student athletes and transform the venue into a winter wonderland.
Legacy On Ice
’Tis the season to celebrate—and we’re bringing the magic to life! In partnership with Douglas County Parks and Recreation, the Douglas County School System is delighted to present the second annual Legacy on Ice, December 12–14 at Legacy Arena.
Step into a winter wonderland featuring a real ice-skating rink shimmering at the heart of the arena. Enjoy the thrill of free carnival rides, soar down the zipline, dive into festive game activations, and stroll through our cozy Christmas Market filled with local vendors on Saturday and Sunday.
Mark your calendars:
• Friday, Dec. 12: 4–8 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 13: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 14: 12–6 p.m.
General admission is free, bringing endless holiday cheer with unlimited carnival rides and games. Lace up for some frosty fun—ice skating is just $10 per person, skates included.

DCSS Holiday Hoops 2025
Basketball takes center court the following weekend when boys' and girls' teams from all five
Douglas County high schools participate in the DCSS Holiday Hoops tournament. The tournament tips off Dec. 20 with all five DCSS girls' teams in action. Tournament play will continue Dec. 22-23.
