FSMS students at the Special Olympic Bowling

Southern Lanes was recently the site of the annual Special Olympic Bowling Tournament. Two classrooms of Factory Shoals Middle school students participated along with others from across the district. The day was spent bowling, playing video games, and enjoying lunch together, making memories both on and off the lanes.

The excitement grew as scores rolled in, and it was announced that Jayce Gray and Naszir Hasan each earned first place in their lane!

Katrina Barnett, the school’s media specialist, explained that the event was not only about competition, but also about teamwork, sportsmanship, and celebrating every student’s success.

Speaking on behalf of the FSMS Program for Exceptional Children faculty and staff, Barnett said, “The smiles, cheers, and laughter made the day one to remember. We are so proud of all of our students who participated, and we can’t wait to return next year for even more strikes, spares, and fun!”
