Chapel Hill High School National Beta members achieved high honors during the Georgia Senior Beta State Convention last month in Savannah.

The school's Beta Club demonstrated excellence across multiple categories, with five students earning individual honors. Elizabeth Manning placed fourth in ninth-grade English Language Arts, while Mikayla Gibson earned fourth place in 10th-grade ELA. Bella Tolbert secured fifth place in Poetry, Savannah Price took third place in Woodworking, and Lily Wilson claimed fourth place in Digitally Enhanced Art.

Chapel Hill's Beta Club also excelled in team competitions, earning third place in both Engineering and Marketing, fourth place in Performing Arts, and fifth place in Musicology.

During competition, Chapel Hill High School also received recognition as a Service All-Star School, a School of Distinction, and a School of Merit. These honors qualified the club's four sponsors, Jackie Hix, Holly Morton, Rhiannon Sims, and Levitticus Smith for the 2024-2025 Educators of Excellence title. They are the only four sponsors in Georgia and among 248 nationwide to receive this distinction.

These state-level victories provide Chapel Hill Beta members the opportunity to compete at the National Convention, which will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee this summer.

National Beta Club is the nation's largest nonprofit educational youth organization. The organization promotes academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among students.
