Sweetwater Elementary School is celebrating the positive choices students make every day with 
quarterly “Gym Jams” — schoolwide reward events recognizing students who model the school’s core values.
By using PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), teachers actively look for those moments of kindness, focus and leadership, awarding points when students demonstrate those behaviors.
Students who consistently work hard and lead by example are treated to each quarter’s Gym Jam.
The events give students something to work toward, and the results show in their motivation and daily effort.
"The atmosphere is so much more fun this year!” student Jayce McCarver said. “We’re all working toward the Gym Jam, and it makes me want to do my best in reading and writing every day."
