Chapel Hill High School is celebrating two sisters for their recent All-State achievements at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Conference in Athens. Madison and Mikayla Gibson were selected among the state’s top choral students through a rigorous two-step audition process to attend the prestigious event.

“It is their fourth year in a row earning this honor, beginning in their seventh- and eighth-grade years while at Chapel Hill Middle School,” said chorus teacher Melody White. “Earning this distinction reflects the immense dedication and hard work of our students.”

Students spent the day with distinguished conductors on Thursday in preparation for their Saturday performance.

“The Douglas County School System is proud of this outstanding achievement and commends these scholars for continuing to represent Douglas County with excellence,” said White.
