Georgia Literacy Coaching Specialist Dr. Isaac Sparks recently visited Chapel Hill Elementary as part of the “Live, Love, Read” statewide literacy initiative, which celebrates read-alouds to spark joy, build language skills and grow confident readers.
CHES Instructional Lead Teacher Claire Cooley said Dr. Sparks read aloud to all K-5 classes at Chapel Hill during his visit, “modeling the joy of books and showing students that reading is something to be loved, shared and celebrated one story at a time.”
“The teachers and students were delighted with his reading style and choice of books,” Cooley said. “Chapel Hill Cheetahs know that Readers are Leaders!”
