It’s great for young students to be rewarded for the hard work and diligence it takes for them to reach their goals. And when the reward is a popsicle, it can become an actual party!
“Each week, our students work toward maintaining an 80% or higher on their i-Ready learning paths or teacher-assigned lessons,” said Mirror Lake teacher Mahogany Berry.
In order to monitor their progress in an engaging, fun way, Berry created a four-leaf clover chart for both third-grade ELA/Reading classes.
“Each time a student successfully passes a lesson, they earn the opportunity to color in a section of the clover and sign their name at the bottom,” Berry explained. “We are proud to share that students completed their charts the Friday before spring break and celebrated their hard work with popsicles.”
