Alexander High students gather for a group photo during Chapel Hill Elementary's Field Day.

Field Day at Chapel Hill Elementary School was a huge success this year, taking place May 12–14 and bringing together students, staff, and community in an unforgettable celebration of fun and teamwork. A special highlight was the incredible support from student volunteers from Alexander High School, who helped run stations, lead relay races, and even joined in on the water slide fun.

Coach Ethan Dennis shared, “These students represented their school and our district with pride, leadership, and contagious enthusiasm. They stepped into leadership roles seamlessly and made a lasting impact on our students.” He also expressed his appreciation to the administration at Alexander High School, noting their support and partnership. “We are incredibly grateful to their administration and leadership team for allowing these students to serve and for being such outstanding collaborators in making this experience possible.”

Parents and teachers echoed that sentiment, highlighting how these high school students elevated the entire experience. “Their energy, organization, and ability to connect with our students brought an extra layer of excitement to Field Day, all while helping everything run smoothly and efficiently,” one teacher said.

"It was especially meaningful to see former students return in new roles," Dennis said. "Watching them give back, reconnect, and relive the joy of Field Day made the experience even more special for everyone involved."
